Katie and Justin – Esession

One of my absolute favorite couples for this year for sure. Katie has so much energy and a smile that can light up a room, and Justin is just easily one of the sweetest guys that obviously loves his fiance. Sometimes, when I am looking at other photographers blogs I get jealous of some of their adorable fun couples, Katie and Justin are one I’d be jealous of. I’m so excited to shoot their wedding in September at Canyon Gate Country Club!

Lisa and Afshin! A fab party.

This weekend I had the absolute pleasure to photograph Lisa and Afshin’s wedding. They were both so much fun and full of life. Along with the rest of their crowd. The whole night was non-stop dancing! Belly Dancers and Swimming?! This was not your everyday wedding. I had an absolute blast. Thank you both for bein so great!

Kathleen+Kurt. Married. Las Vegas Wedding Cinema

Kathleen and Kurt are the model example of how love can overcome any distance and obstacle. Their day was full of great people, a beautiful ceremony at Guardian Angle Cathedral, awesome decor done by LTevention and a party with no dull moments at Caesars Palace. It was an inspiration to see all the guests traveling from all parts of the world for this event. This shows the true character of Kathleen and Kurt and the love their family and friends have for them.

Kathleen and Kurt, I am so grateful that I was part of your day. I look forward to working on your Feature film and cant wait to hear what you think about your highlight. Thanks again!

Mina+Ervin | The Highlight from DragonRidge. Las Vegas wedding cinema and video

You may have seen Mina and Ervin’s same day edit back in October but I thought I’d post there highlights from the day as well. They were so much fun to work with. Mina had me laughing the whole day! I also got some help from the boss on this one since Derek jumped on this project to be my second shooter. Did he do a good job? What do you think?

Justin+Mel | Save the date!

I am so excited to show this clip off for two reasons. For one, Justin and Mel happen to be really good friends of mine and this is the first of many friends I have getting married who I will have the honor of filming over the next two years. The other reason I am excited about this clip is because in is showcasing the evolution that digs films are going through. What we have been really trying ever since we switched to the cinematic style is to tell our couples stories at the point were a stranger can look at a film and relate to it as if the were relating to a character in a movie. This clip is just the tip of the iceberg on were we plan on going with our couples, more personnel, and more about the people. No formula just me getting to know you as best I can, to become a friend so that I can tell your story better then anyone else.

Again I’d like to thank my friends for letting me do this and especially thank Mel for letting me push the envelope when she started to cry. One of the best interviews I’ve ever done, but you’ll have to wait to November to see how it all pans out ; )

Jenaya and Matt married

Jenaya and Matt planned a great way to celebrate Nevada Day, with an afternoon wedding at St. Viator’s Catholic Church followed by a rocking wedding reception at Cili at Bali Hai. The bride wore the perfect dress made of patterned tulle and a touch of color with the shoes. The groomsmen wore real bow ties, that we had a little fun learning how to tie. The floral was done by Enchanted Florist. On the way to the reception, we took a little detour to the Welcome to Las Vegas sign. This was the first visit for the local bride and groom, and they made sure to include the tourist in some wedding portraits. Then it was off the Cili, where the bestman, Matt’s twin brother may have roasted the groom a little in his toast, it showed how much these families love the couple. After dinner, the dance floor was opened and everyone learned a little Polka.

Jenaya and Matt, thanks for allowing Derek and I the opportunity to be a part of your wedding. Hopefully you are drinking a few pints for us in Ireland. We look forward to seeing you when you return. Marilyn+Ken| Highlight from La Jolla

A couple of weeks ago Derek, Rhi, Grady and I took a trip down to San Diego for Marilyn and Ken’s wedding. The couple were married at La Valencia in La Jolla. I got to tell you there is nothing like the site of the Pacific Ocean as a backdrop to shoot against. It is truly a breathtaking site. I got to tell you that the fun really shows at this event making my job way to easy. I hope you enjoy this clip as much as I did planning it and putting it together!

Nicole+Javier | Highlights from San Fran

Let me start off again by saying I love traveling. Any time, any place, anywhere I am there! We were having so much fun in San Francisco (one of my favorite cities) with Nicole, Javier and Xavier. They were so cool and easy going and Xavier was probably one of the coolest kids we ever worked with during a wedding (check out the bottom clip).

Normally I try to pick music that I would think one of my couples has never heard before but as soon as I heard this tune for the grand entrance, I knew it would be perfect. Enjoy this awesome destination wedding.

Stephanie+Drew| One Story, Different Perspectives

A couple of moths ago I got the chance to team up with my friend Brian of Studio 67 in Toronto, Canada. There is nothing I enjoy more then teaming up with a fellow professional who has the same passion and drive that I do in order to make a film. Filming Stephanie and Drew’s wedding was such a great event and you can read all about it here.

Originally when we filmed this event our plan was for Brian to hand over his footage to me and I would make one highlight about there wedding. When we had finished filming plans were changed and Brian decided that this was to good of an event to sit out for the highlight. We each gave each other the footage we had captured and a week later Brian came out with his highlight. It was fun, fast past and really exciting. It also took me back because the highlight I was planning would have the exact same pacing. I took this as a challenge and saw to tell the same story in a different way. Amanda+Andrew| SDE @ Anthem

I love doing A Same Day Experience. Especially for people as much fun as Amanda, Andrew and all off there friends and family. This one was especially a lot of fun because on this one Grady and I took turns working on there edit to see what we could come up with. Developing the story line is the hardest part when creating these types of films in such a short amount of time but besides actually looking at the couples faces when they see it it is my favorite part.

Amanda and Andrew are one of the most well traveled couples we have ever worked with. Andrew or Olie as we all called him was from England and had met Amanda while he was doing work in Australia. They now live in Austin, Texas but decided to come out to Vegas for there big wedding. I could really feel the love for these two seeing that over 95% of there guests came out from England, Whales, Australia, and New Zealand.

Special thanks to a few people at this event. Thank you Anthem Country Club for helping us surprise everybody! Thank you DJ Harry O for rocking out this party. He did such a killer job! To Teresa and Mo, my good friends from Enchanted Florists. They let us follow them around all morning and really helped us to get the story going. And Lastly but definitely not the least, Juliet and Angelica from Green Orchard Events for putting the whole thing together! You guys are awesome!
