A couple of weeks ago Derek, Rhi, Grady and I took a trip down to San Diego for Marilyn and Ken’s wedding. The couple were married at La Valencia in La Jolla. I got to tell you there is nothing like the site of the Pacific Ocean as a backdrop to shoot against. It is truly a breathtaking site. I got to tell you that the fun really shows at this event making my job way to easy. I hope you enjoy this clip as much as I did planning it and putting it together!

Nicole+Javier | Highlights from San Fran

Let me start off again by saying I love traveling. Any time, any place, anywhere I am there! We were having so much fun in San Francisco (one of my favorite cities) with Nicole, Javier and Xavier. They were so cool and easy going and Xavier was probably one of the coolest kids we ever worked with during a wedding (check out the bottom clip).

Normally I try to pick music that I would think one of my couples has never heard before but as soon as I heard this tune for the grand entrance, I knew it would be perfect. Enjoy this awesome destination wedding.

Stephanie+Drew| One Story, Different Perspectives

A couple of moths ago I got the chance to team up with my friend Brian of Studio 67 in Toronto, Canada. There is nothing I enjoy more then teaming up with a fellow professional who has the same passion and drive that I do in order to make a film. Filming Stephanie and Drew’s wedding was such a great event and you can read all about it here.

Originally when we filmed this event our plan was for Brian to hand over his footage to me and I would make one highlight about there wedding. When we had finished filming plans were changed and Brian decided that this was to good of an event to sit out for the highlight. We each gave each other the footage we had captured and a week later Brian came out with his highlight. It was fun, fast past and really exciting. It also took me back because the highlight I was planning would have the exact same pacing. I took this as a challenge and saw to tell the same story in a different way. Amanda+Andrew| SDE @ Anthem

I love doing A Same Day Experience. Especially for people as much fun as Amanda, Andrew and all off there friends and family. This one was especially a lot of fun because on this one Grady and I took turns working on there edit to see what we could come up with. Developing the story line is the hardest part when creating these types of films in such a short amount of time but besides actually looking at the couples faces when they see it it is my favorite part.

Amanda and Andrew are one of the most well traveled couples we have ever worked with. Andrew or Olie as we all called him was from England and had met Amanda while he was doing work in Australia. They now live in Austin, Texas but decided to come out to Vegas for there big wedding. I could really feel the love for these two seeing that over 95% of there guests came out from England, Whales, Australia, and New Zealand.

Special thanks to a few people at this event. Thank you Anthem Country Club for helping us surprise everybody! Thank you DJ Harry O for rocking out this party. He did such a killer job! To Teresa and Mo, my good friends from Enchanted Florists. They let us follow them around all morning and really helped us to get the story going. And Lastly but definitely not the least, Juliet and Angelica from Green Orchard Events for putting the whole thing together! You guys are awesome!

Sandy+Andy | The Highlight

I knew from the moment I met Sandy and Andy that I would be having a lot of fun both filming and editing this event. When sitting down and talking to these two MIT grads I felt as If we had known each other for a very long time. They really reminded me a lot of my east coast friends. Andy is a graphic designer and designed there invitations and menus. He even designed Sandy’s engagement ring which I thought was awesome. I loved the design, for one it’s in the shape of an animal paw, which really is great since Sandy is a Veterinarian and it is compact so she wouldn’t have to take it off while performing surgeries.

On this film I got a little sneaky. When I showed up to there hotel room we took Andy out of the room and hid one of my voice recorders on him. I thought what I would get is some great conversation in the car on the way over to the Red Rock Country club. Instead I got something way better. Check it out.

It’s Here!!!

Last week I announced that we were unveiling something new to the Las Vegas wedding market. If you were able to make it to the bridal show then you would have gotten a sneak peak of our SDE or Same Day Edit. That’s right, we can now film your wedding and before you are even finished dancing we can show you your wedding day in a fun short form film.

In the movie below, I had the pleasure of surprising Jen and Allan. I knew after my first meeting with them that they would be the perfect couple to kick start our SDE’s. I loved their style, there bubbly personalities and the fact that we had the same taste in music. I knew this would be quite an event to remember so a special video for them would be the perfect icing on the cake.

Shawna+Leonard+Baby Q

On Sunday I had the pleasure of photographing a couple who came into our lives in 2006. Derek and I met Shawna and Leonard when they were looking for a wedding photographer. We became friends and see them as often as possible. It is always fun to hear about the new projects this couple is working on. They have been producing a show at The Fitz Casino in downtown Las Vegas, The Country Superstars Tribute Show for the last few years. It has been a hit.

When they told us they were expecting a baby in June, I was so ready to get them in the studio and have some fun. Shawna is a beautiful subject to photograph and we did a couple different looks.I just loved the “rocker” look, enjoy some of the images.

I am looking forward to meeting the newest Q in June. They don’t know if the baby is a boy or girl. Some things are worth waiting for.
