Gorman Girls ’11. Las Vegas Senior Portrait Photographer

Sometimes I truely forget that I am a graduating senior. But when I get around these girls I remember, all the fun we all had the past 4 years. As highschool girls of course there was all sorts of drama but I’m happy to say at the end of the road, I was there to see them grow into such beautiful, caring young women. I am so excited to see where they go and where their lives take them. I know they’ll all be very successful and I couldn’t be happier to call them friends. Thank you guys for letting me take these photos. These will be timeless, one day when your daughters are going to graduate you will show them these photos and remember all your best friends from high school and I couldn’t be happier that I was apart of that, even if I’m behind the camera! Congrats to all of you!

Molly Higgins- Class of 2011. Las Vegas Senior Portrait Photographer

So on Friday I shot one of my favorite peoples senior portraits. Molly is easily one of my closest friends and when her mom called me to do her senior pictures I was beyond excited. I knew Molly and I would have a blast! She is so fun and easy going, she made the whole shoot an absolute breeze. She looked absolutely gorgeous in every shot. She gave me happy eyes the whole shoot ; ) (that was an inside joke for molly). We had originally planned on going up to Mt. Charleston, but when I got there we were both relieved we didn’t feel like driving all that way. I think our back up plan worked amazingly. Basically, Molly I love you! Thank you for choosing me to do your last high school photos. You are awesome and good luck in Boulder (I’ll definitely be visiting you)!

Sunday had to have been one of the most perfect days to shoot. The weather was amazing! Alex and I had a great time during her senior shoot. She’s so sweet and funny, she had me laughing the whole time. Not only is she sweet but she’s extremely smart, with her 4.8 GPA she got into every college she applied for, now she’s just choosing between Pepperdine, UCLA or USD. What choices! Her mom had to have been the proudest Mama I’ve ever met. She was a natural in front of the camera, the fact that there were a lot of people staring and watching didn’t even phase her. I’m so glad I was able to do this shoot, she gave me the opportunity to make beautiful images. Thanks so much Alex, you’re awesome! Good luck on your big decisions.

Class of 2011 – Johnna

Over the past weekend I was quite the busy little assistant. Being a senior we thought it would be fun if I photographed people my own age. On Monday a couple of us photographers got together and had a fun in studio senior shoot. We played around with lighting and posing and had a blast while doing it. Johnna, our vibrant and gorgeous model definitely made the shoot a lot of fun for me. We wanted the shoot to have more of a vintage look and I would have to say they came out exactly how I had in visioned them. Thanks to Lisette at L Make up Institute Johnna really had a vintage look. Photographing my senior friends has been an awesome experience so far, I can not wait to do more! Thanks Johnna for all the beautiful photos and fun!

Another New Fun thing that we got to play around with were Tarrah’s silhouettes. We are now offering them to seniors. We think its a fun little add on to your senior pics that no one else is going to have. In this example its me photographing Johnna. I absolutely love them!

Class of 2011 – Taylor

The other day I went out on my first official Senior shoot. I had an absolute blast! Not only was I shooting one of my good friends, but I also got to switch roles with my very bossy photographer Mike and he got to assist me for the day. Taylor was one of the easiest people to photograph, she was definitely a natural in front of the camera. Not to mention she had many heads turned giving us an audience through out the whole shoot. Thanks to her natural beauty and Mikes guidance I think we got some really cool shots. This shoot made me very excited to shoot seniors and I can’t wait for my next one! Thanks Taylor and Congrats on making it to Senior Year!

Here’s Dakota, the newest edition to our family of seniors here at the studio. Opting to do something a little more mature and sophisticated, Dakota donned a suit at our “outdoor studio” for an urban look to the photos. And I think we pulled it off… he looks way older than a high school senior – more like a GQ model. Enjoy.

I’m hoping to show off a lot of images from senior sessions this year. I especially have so much fun, bouncing from location to location, looking to capture something special, a glimpse of true personality and insight in a special time in a high school senior’s life. We encourage our young clients to pick locations, outfits and props for the shoot that really express who they are. It might be their bedroom in their parents’ house that they may not be returning to after they graduate. Maybe their guitar or baseball bat. In Mikaela’s case, we went swimming. She’s on the HS team and from what I’ve seen, is quite a swimmer. She braved some cold temperatures to get it done, but we had a blast and it was worth it. She’s a natural in front of the camera and she looks awesome! Check her out everybody, here’s Mikaela

If you’re checking our blog on any kind of regular basis you can’t help notice that we sure do a lot of weddings. And like any job or craft, it’s refreshing to mix it up. I love doing portrait sessions and i’m sure you’ll be seeing a lot more of these from the studio in the future. Here’s Lindsey, a beautiful Las Vegas bartender with dreams of working in the Nashville music biz. I admire and identify with that kind of ambition and wish her the best of luck. The studio is looking forward to help her however we can to further her endeavors. It was a great shoot in Nelson, NV and we always look forward to exploring more and more at that awesome portrait venue.

Now, with mixed emotions I announce this is my last blog entry for a little while. I’m off to see the US by road trip and then a whole other side of the world. My well wishes and thanks to all the couples and clients that put so much faith in our studio and myself to photograph the special moments in their lives. I am constantly honored and humbled every time. I hope to see you all in the studio again soon.

It’s late, it’s Saturday. I should be sleeping or out but I’ve been too busy working on some photos from my latest session. I just couldn’t wait to show some of these off. Devyn and I (with help from mom, thanks Leslie) shot at her future school’s campus, UNLV. A beautiful young girl on a beautiful day for photography. A coffee spill on my shirt and three wardrobe changes later we got some great shots and these are only a few. It was a great time. Devyn, hope you love them. We love our grads….
