A great practice us photographers don’t do enough is to have our photograph taken. I probably have like 3 photos of myself over the last couple years… “the shoemaker’s daughter has no shoes” they say.
Well, there comes a time when all of us either want or need a portrait, so when I offered Jeniffer a session, it became two photographers geeking out and taking turns with the camera around the Clark County Museum, an awesome place to shoot. There were colors and great light and all kinds of backdrops to play with.
What’s so important about photographers photographing photographers is the experience of being in front of the camera for a change. What it feels like… wow… quite the lesson! And while I continue to prefer to be behind my Canon, I have so much more empathy for those in my viewfinder.
Jeniffer, being my buddy (and kind of a former client since I photographed her wedding a couple years ago) was so much fun to shoot with. And the light seemed to find her beautiful eyes everywhere we went. I hope these photos will do for her pro pic.
And although I don’t care to show pictures of myself, I am moved to show off Jen’s handiwork. She did good!

Baby Mila is very special to the studio, much like she is to her wonderful parents, Shantell and Rob. One amazing thing that we do not take for granite as a studio is the loyalty of our clients and friends. We were their when Rob and Shan tied the knot in Puerto Vallarta, photographed the couples maternity images, and know, we are having the opportunity to photograph their loving, adorable, daughter. Along the way we also happened to have the opportunity to take in a few of the couples legendary lua pool parties, so Rob and Shan are more than just loyal customers, they are great people and friends, and we are so excited about their new family. Here are just a few of the amazing images of their beautiful daughter Mila, hope you enjoy.

Kinley has been coming into the studio since before she was born! It’s been awesome being apart of her life and seeing her get so big. Since the first day I saw this beautiful little girl I was obsessed with her full head of hair, yes, it’s been like that since she was a newborn. Now she’s a big girl, walking and running around making me chase her. I had a great time and I couldn’t have asked for a better smile throughout the shoot!

Vladmir’s 50th at Bellagio

At the Bellagio they do it with style. That’s why Igor, along with mom, Olga and little brother, Antonio decided come to Vegas all the way from Russia to put on a 50th birthday for the patriarch of the family right there in the Michelangelo room. It was a beautiful 5 course dinner for four with all the special touches you’d expect at the Bellagio, with help from their spectacular coordinator Jackie Kumalaa. It wasn’t just dinner… it was accompanied by a 6 piece band that played some great salsa beats, and father and son helped them out on vocals a bit as well.

What really made the event was the family. I was touched to see the love and enjoyment of the family being together… and hey provided me with a couple of great moments to photograph. Happy 50th birthday Vladmir!

A few weeks back I received a call from Krisitina looking to do maternity photos. She is having twins! When she called I was so excited because Mike and I had the honor of photographing her wedding, so I couldn’t be happier to be apart of the next huge step in her life. Kristina is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I honestly felt like I was photographing a model the whole time. She was so open and willing to do anything, it really made the photos beautiful. Thank you Kristina for choosing Digs once again. I can’t wait to do some newborn photos with your baby boy and girl!

Maternity Portraits.Las Vegas Nevada. Amanda and Tracy

Let me re-introduce Amanda and Tracy. They were married on 07/08/09 in California. After the great experience they had with our team, Amanda knew when the time came, maternity portraits were a must. So imagine our surprise, when they called to let us know they were expecting a baby girl. Since Mike was busy with his world travels, I had the opportunity to photograph this wonderful couple who couldn’t be more excited for the baby’s arrival. Thank you for letting me capture this special time and thank you Tracy for being a good sport and showing a “little” skin and the pregnancy weight you have acquired. I am looking forward to the call any time now for the newborn session.

Gorman Girls ’11. Las Vegas Senior Portrait Photographer

Sometimes I truely forget that I am a graduating senior. But when I get around these girls I remember, all the fun we all had the past 4 years. As highschool girls of course there was all sorts of drama but I’m happy to say at the end of the road, I was there to see them grow into such beautiful, caring young women. I am so excited to see where they go and where their lives take them. I know they’ll all be very successful and I couldn’t be happier to call them friends. Thank you guys for letting me take these photos. These will be timeless, one day when your daughters are going to graduate you will show them these photos and remember all your best friends from high school and I couldn’t be happier that I was apart of that, even if I’m behind the camera! Congrats to all of you!

Lisa. maternity

I love collaboratively creative portrait session’s like Lisa’s. They decided to do their maternity portraits at the Neon Boneyard with the fantastic idea to use the images to set the tone for their Vegas themed nursery. I think they have set a new trend and I am now a huge fan!

Done Family. Las Vegas portrait photographer

I was a 20 something year old young man not too long ago, and I can remember how thrilled I was when my mom and dad would arrange our yearly family photo, especially during some very important sporting event…..So I could relate with the Done boys, luckily for me, these days we have smart phones, and score updates to keep our clients updated, which makes missing games not quite as agonizing…but posing for a photo…well….how about a swim suite photo shoot going on at the same time. We aim to please, and for the men of the Done family, hopefully this session was not as painful as they might have preconceived. I hope you enjoy a few of the many images we created.

Belly Painting! Las Vegas Portrait photographer

Last week Derek and I got to shoot something a little different. Rhiannon had already done Shawna’s Maternity photos. But a few weeks after she got her belly painted and wanted us to take a few photos. I thought it was awesome. Such a fun idea. She was very brave to go down to the Las Vegas sign with a bare tummy but it was well worth it. I hope you love the photos Shawna!
