I had the great fortune to photograph the marriage of Kathleen and Kurt this past Saturday. What an amazing pair these two are! Their marriage reminds me of how love can overcome all obstacles, time, distance and differences. Their families, friends and the event itself was a reflection of the two of them: happy, easygoing and dynamic.

Jenny and Mike “sealed the deal” this past Saturday, June 18 at Anthem Country Club. I do believe the atmosphere created the amazing cloud coverage and cool breeze just for these two very deserving people. Their lakeside ceremony was followed by an evening of great food, friends and family and lets not forget their surprise guest singer, Elvis. Like their wedding day I’m sure these two will enjoy a long happy marriage with sophistication and a bit of Vegas flair!

I love collaboratively creative portrait session’s like Lisa’s. They decided to do their maternity portraits at the Neon Boneyard with the fantastic idea to use the images to set the tone for their Vegas themed nursery. I think they have set a new trend and I am now a huge fan!

Cassie and Matt were married last Saturday, April 16 at the beautiful Cili Restaurant at Bali Hai. This amazing couple met in London about 7 years ago and now live in San Francisco with their “baby,” Gordon, their dog.

Their wedding had a very eclectic yet simplistic style that spoke to Cassie and Matt’s personalities. The couple was married by Cassie’s dear friend whom she has been prepping for her wedding long before she met the groom which made the momentous moment even more special. The vibrant colors of the event, red, purple and green complimented the personalities of the couple and their guests: expressive, lively and fun loving.

Throughout each of the special events of the day; the ceremony, their dances, the cake cutting, it was apparent to me, as to their family and friends, I am sure, that these two make a perfect pair. I’m sure their life together will be as amazing as their wedding was.

Noelani + Dylan. married

Noelani and Dylan celebrated their marriage at Roy’s Hawaiian Fusion Cuisine last Friday with their close friends and family. The group fit right in with the easy going and fun loving Hawaiian themed location. The couple shared an amazing slideshow of some of the most memorable times throughout their relationship followed by the cutting of their cute little cake and cupcakes, designed by Retro Bakery. “Yum Yum!.” I had so much fun photographing their three adorable children and photographing the three photographers of the family as well: Noelani’s mom, Noelani and their oldest son Jaylan. Congratulations you two and enjoy the long awaited honeymoon!

Andrea + David. married

Last weekend I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Andrea and David at Mt. Charleston Resort. So many factors came together to make it an amazing day. David and Andrea, both in the Air Force and both arriving back to town after many months away celebrated their marriage in the company of their amazing friends and family.

Although I didn’t know the well before the wedding day I knew the two of them were a perfect match by they Andrea’s face lit up every time David was near and visa versa.

Little Aiden. 1st Birthday

All I can say is OMG this little guys is so adorable and fun to photograph! Forgive the slang but really he’s the cutest! I have had the pleasure of photographing Mr. Aiden three times now and he’s just so photogenic and easy going, I know I told his mom about a million times but I could photograph him all day.

Happy Birthday Aiden! I hope you’ll have fun with your family in Cali to celebrate the big “1″!

Kathleen and Kurt are two star crossed lovers living in different states. One is a pilot one is an attorney but somehow they found each other and as you can see they certainly “click”! I haven’t known them too long but I just think they are fabulous!

Santa Fe Photography Workshop. Jen

Hi Family, Friends and Fans,

As many of you know I recently attended a career and life changing photography workshop. Although my class was all about lighting I learned so much more than that. I made some amazing friends and was able to photograph some inspiring places and models. My eyes have literally been open to seeing things in a way I did not before. My instructor, Bobbie Lane, was so knowledgable and entertaining. I highly recommend the Santa Fe Workshops to all my photographer friends out there or at least go on a trip that will inspire you! Here are a few images I created during the workshop.

Celeste Boudoir. Valentine’s Day

I’ve been wanting to do more boudoir sessions at my client’s home’s for a more intimate and personal feel. So I was thrilled when my friend Celeste contacted me to do some updated boudoir portraits of her for her hubby in lieu of Valentine’s Day. I had also been thinking about Celeste’s boudoir session from the previous year and the fact that she really wanted to do some shots with their quad involved. A sequel was absolutely needed. We were able to get some images with an edgy feel in her garage with her quad and a few with a more intimate feel in her bedroom. I’m sure her sweety will enjoy his Valentine’s gift this year!
