Rockin’ Camp Firefly 2010

Occasionally you do something that you know you will remember for the rest of your life. In June, Digs studio became a part of the candle lighters family. We were given the opportunity to photograph Camp Firefly. It was four days of non-stop photographing and non-stop fun. I can say for myself and the rest of the studio that this was one of the most amazing and rewarding experiences. There were multiple events from sunrise to sunset, which resulted in me having about 8,000 pictures to sort through and choose from. Everyone there treated us as if we were family, we were called through out the week “The Paparazzi.” It fit well considering the whole studio was there capturing these moments. Besides the fact I was given the opportunity to spend four days with my amazing, and just absolutely hilarious co-workers, we spent the week with children that have gone through so much, but never once did they lose their incredible, bubbly personalities. I can honestly say that I did not stop smiling once while I was there. Not only were the children amazing, but every single volunteer there made the experience that much more memorable. When I got home, I was asked multiple times, “Asha, how was camp?” and my response was, “Life Changing”. I don’t think I will ever truly be able to describe how extraordinary this experience really was. All I know is I am forever grateful that I was able to be apart of it and I am already looking forward to next year.

Thank you Candle Lighters from all of us at Digs.
