I wanted to share with everyone my latest and greatest adventure in wedding photography, the wedding of Karen + Ben. The wedding was infused with personal touches and uniqueness. Karen and Ben were married in their local church, Holy Spirit Lutheran, where Ben’s grandfather, a preacher, gave a heartfelt speech on their behalf. Following the ceremony, photographs were taken of the family, bridal party and couple at the reception venue, Angel Park. Karen and Ben’s bridal party were so much fun, they even came up with some of their own wacky and funny poses. The groomsmen posed like your favorite super heros while the girls had to out jump the guys in their “Jump Shot.” The reception was just as fun as taking portraits. Rather than the traditional clanking of glasses, guests were required to sing a song in order to see the bride and groom kiss. Karen’s father hand made origami flowers that adorned the reception tables while Karen and Ben went with a fun contemporary version of the traditional wedding cake, a cupcake tower. My assistant, David, and I had a great time photographing Karen and Ben’s big day. We hope you enjoy a few of their images.
