Inshiya + Justin

Last weekend Rhiannon and I (Jen) were honored to photograph not only the wedding of Inshiya and Justin but also their wedding rehearsal and Mehndi Ceremony.

The festivities began with the women of the bridal party, family members and close friends gathering at the home of the mother of the bride for the traditional Indian Mehndi Ceremony.  During the ceremony a Mehndi artist and the sister of the bride adorned the bride and her guests with beautiful Mehndi designs using Henna.

Next we  gathered at the breathtaking wedding venue, Coto de Caza Golf and Raquet Club, for the wedding rehearsal.  Everything came together nicely thanks to Inshiya and Justin’s event coordinator, Christie Mccoy-Hjelm with clm weddings and events.  Our pre-wedding activities came to a close at Picante Restaurant in Ladera Ranch, CA.  Everyone enjoyed the delicious Spanish style tapas and seafood while toasts were given by groomsmen, bridesmaids, and the bride and groom.

The Big Day was virtually flawless… the bride was gorgeous, the ceremony (including the groom’s karaoke rendition of “Total Eclipse of the Heart”) carried out without a hitch, Inshiya and Justin performed their well rehearsed first dance by a perfect wedding dance … one of the groomsmen split his pants while creating the amazing “Jump Shot” portrait below.  Luckily the bride and groom have a great sense of humor and the entire day was enjoyable for everyone.
